Build on Origin's attribution data
Origin exposes attribution data by default so you can integrate with your own systems.
Ways in#
There are three ways to read Origin’s data, each documented in its own section.
Order metafields. Per-order attribution written to Shopify metafields for every processed order. Read them from the Admin GraphQL API, Shopify Flow or order exports. See the Metafields reference.
MCP server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your own agent and query the store’s reports in plain language. See MCP server.
REST API. The same reads as the MCP server as plain GET endpoints with a bearer API key. See REST API.
Metafield conventions#
Timestamps (touch_ts) are ISO 8601 in UTC, with milliseconds. credit and attributed_revenue are JSON numbers in the order’s currency. Missing string fields are emitted as "", never omitted. A single-touch model with no qualifying touch sets touch to null; a multi-touch model sets touches to [].
